Tour Itinerary


Day 1: Kolkata

  • Arrive at Kolkata Airport and transfer to the hotel (Hyatt Amritsar or similar) for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Kolkata

  • Leisure day with no planned activities.

Day 3: Kolkata - Silghat

Silghat is a town located in the Nagaon, a district of the Indian state of Assam. It is situated on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra River.

  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Jorhat.
  • Drive to Silghat, a picturesque beach close to Kaziranga National Park.
  • Board a cruise ship (ABN Charaidew II or ABN Sukapha) for a river cruise.

Day 4: Kaziranga Central Range

  • Morning jeep safari at Kaziranga’s Central Range.
  • Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros and Bengal Tigers.
  • Evening cruise to anchor at Vishwanath.

Day 5: Vishwanath

  • Visit Vishwanath with its Ahom-period Shiva temple.
  • Cruise upstream, passing Kaziranga, with opportunities to spot wildlife.
  • Arrive in the evening at Dhansiri Mukh.

Day 6: Kaziranga Eastern Range

  • Jeep safari to Kaziranga’s Eastern Range, known for rhinos and Bengal Florican.
  • Continue the cruise upstream.

Day 7: Passing Riverbank Villages

  • Observe life on riverbanks during the upstream cruise.
  • Leisure time onboard to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
  • Walk through a bankside village to experience rural life.

Day 8: Majuli Island

Majuli is a large river island located in the Brahmaputra River in the northeastern Indian state of Assam. It is known for being the largest river island in the world and is recognized for its unique culture, heritage, and ecological significance.

  • Reach Majuli Island, a river island known for neo-Vaishnavism.
  • Visit Auniati monastery and attend a dance performance at Kamalabari monastery.
  • Afternoon visit to a nearby village.

Day 9: Tea Estates And Ancient Kingdoms

Jorhat, a city in the Indian state of Assam, is known for its rich cultural heritage and, of course, its tea estates. Assam is a major tea-producing region, and Jorhat is no exception.

  • Visit a tea estate in Jorhat, and observe the tea-making process.
  • Drive to Sibsagar, exploring the one-time capital of Ahom kings.
  • Return to the ship near Jorhat.

Day 10: Dibrugarh - Kolkata

  • Disembark and drive to Dibrugarh airport for a flight to Kolkata.
  • Transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Kolkata

  • Depending on your flight, transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
