  • Arrive at Kolkata airport and smoothly transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Kolkata

Day 3: Darjeeling Mail

The Darjeeling Mail is a renowned train service in India, connecting Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) to New Jalpaiguri and, ultimately, to the picturesque hill station of Darjeeling.

  • Free day to explore Kolkata.
  • Evening embarkation on the Darjeeling Mail from Sealdah Station.
  • Travel north in an air-conditioned first-class sleeper carriage, spending the night onboard.

Day 4: New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling

The journey from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Darjeeling is a captivating leg of the travel experience, often undertaken via the historic Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, affectionately known as the "Toy Train.

  • Arrive in New Jalpaiguri and switch to the narrow gauge toy train to Darjeeling.
  • Hotel transfer for a two-night stay. If the toy train is unavailable, a car transfer will be provided.

Day 5: Darjeeling

Day 6: Darjeeling - Varanasi

Day 12: Kalka - Shimla

  • Arrive early in Kalka and switch to the heritage Shivalik Express (toy) train for a scenic ride to Shimla.
  • Transfer to the hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 13: Shimla

Shimla, the capital city of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, is a picturesque hill station nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. Renowned for its colonial architecture, scenic beauty, and pleasant climate, Shimla is a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists.

Day 14: Shimla - Delhi

  • Drive to Kalka and board the Shatabdi Express for Delhi.
